Carving the heron
Six evenings, one block of lino and a lot of patience.
By Nell1 min read

The heron took six evenings to carve. The hardest part was the neck, which kept wanting to look like a hosepipe.
Printing
I print on a small press in the shed, one sheet at a time. The first few are always patchy while the ink settles into the block, so they go in the recycling.
The edition
Once thirty good prints are dry I sign and number them, and the block goes on the shelf for good.
